A community Centre in Hedon has been renamed The Amy Black Community Centre in memory of Opera Singer (Mezzo Soprano) Amy Black who died in November 23 rd. 2009 age 36 after an operation on her heart six months earlier. A local Girl who never forgot her home town of Hedon and did much for the community during her short life.

We have upgraded the Amy Black community centre into a wonderful space for activities. Hedon needed more choices and affordable safe space for all our generations to use for activities and where better than the former Red Cross hall.
